Gołąbki
I haven't made these for decades. I don't even think I've made them since keeping house for my family. Well, I guess the time was right...to understand that the process wasn't so time consuming as I'd remembered. After all, my mom used to make these at least every couple weeks or so. Of course, hers were filled with meat and rice and not meatless like mine (I remember she used to say the filling would be more tender if beef *and* pork were used, instead of just beef alone). In any case, I (and everyone else) was pleased with the results.
The meal was rounded out with a cooked beet salad and green salad with fresh dill and sour cream dressing.
It would be really hard for me to say which I drew more joy from...photography or cooking...

both photography & cooking makes forget your *self* and at the same time be deeply aware of it.
