Goops...
It's been a challenge to get myself to write lately. It's my goal to get back to it regularly, but with a more effective method (which is sadly lacking at the moment). Too much time spent ruminating on what the "essence" of this blog should be, means too much time not writing anything!! But anyway...it works out...somehow.
The polaroid has been getting more use lately...although, as I did with the integral films, I've still not come up with a real use for these little films and scanned goops. Part of the issue is not having a clear understanding of the potential for the scanned images (whether goops or positives). Still, it's a good little outlet...if only for now and then (the film is as expensive as ever).
I have glass cut and will be working on sandwiching my small cyanotype prints. Figuring all this out is a long process for me...partly because I continue to be distracted by my duties of the past. I mean, I still have the same basic duties in the household, only I think I give them more of a priority at this point than is necessary (most people can find their own lunch, now, for example...and I really *don't* have to be absolutely available to minister to everyone at the drop of a hat!).
Another distraction I have is preparing for my week long trip to the east coast, which takes place in two weeks. Bottom line, I'm way too much in my head and if I just approached each task at the time I needed to (instead of thinking about it for days), I'd have a lot more time and energy for other things!! Still...I do have fun getting enthused about my adventure...so I'll cut myself a little slack.
It's warmish and a little humid here. The weather is...odd...but I'm not complaining at all about warmer temps. I can feel autumn creeping up...kids are back in school next week and summer apples (which lead to fall apples) are in the produce market. It's a lovely in between time that summer/autumn thing...
