First (of what hopefully will be many) in a series of small tea toned cyanotypes. I hope to get a nice collection accumulated, then will get some glass cut and sandwich these in between, soldering the edges. The pieces I made like this at the end of last year were a real pleasure (and a couple actually sold), so it seems a good path to follow at this time.
In other news, it's going to be a busy weekend in preparation for our trip to the east coast next week. I've got to batten down the hatches around here, get all the laundry done (well, the kids do their own) and all packed up by Monday. Julian has his last jazzschool concert at Yoshi's Monday night and we'll need to leave the house early Tuesday to catch our flight. I put in an order for film from Freestyle and crossing my fingers that I'll have it before we leave (they're usually really quick). I'm going to limit the cameras I bring...the pinholga for the psp project, the Zero and the D80...that should be plenty, although having the Holga in NYC is awfully tempting.
Lastly, although I haven't written of aikido in quite some time (I've been limiting my mat time, owing to frozen shoulder), I have started attending more regularly again. It's still frustrating, working around my compromised body, but feels really good to be gaining back range of motion and actuallly doing stuff! I get sore, but it's a good kind of sore. I'm considering finding a tai chi class as well (and thinking about photographic projects encompassing these practices is in the back of my mind).
