My friend Lisi (and now my Sensei) and I met at Far Leaves Tea today. Far Leaves is owned and run by another friend of mine, Donna. I've known Donna for fourteen years, now...our sons having been classmates in kindergarten. I love this tea shop . Donna gets the best teas and the ambiance is warm and chill (yes, at the same time! you know what I mean). The shop used to be up on Collge in Berkeley, and although it's still in Berkeley, it's now on San Pablo. This is a good thing for me, because it's a much easier commute to get there!
It was an excellent meet up. It was nice to see Donna, after not having seen her for a number of months...and to wish her a happy new year. And it was cool to have some extended time to chat with Lisi...about life and work and a lot about our dojo and how we're moving into 2012. Good new year's energy all around.
