Always the first in the garden to bloom, the plum tree has started popping it's blossoms. Today is a rainy, gray day so the blooms aren't nearly as vibrant as when I took this picture on Sunday. This is from my Isolette (vintage folder) on Kodak Portra 160. The roll of film had been in the camera since we were in DC back in November, so strange aberrations show on some of the frames. It makes me chuckle how I have fall leaves and spring blossoms on the same roll!
Spring is definitely on it's way. A lot of the red leafed plum trees in the neighborhood have started to bloom (in fact, I can see one across the street right now as I look out my window!). February is moving along at a strong clip and Valentine's day is right around the corner! Matt's going to be out of town on the [made up...heh] holiday, but we've a weekend in Sonoma planned just coming up, so that'll make up for it. The weekend following *that* has Sunday at Spirit Rock (community building class) going on, for which I look forward to attend as well. Hopefully Sonoma will afford some good photography...if the weather clears by then.
