Last week I met up with a friend and we took a stroll around the holiday light festival at Lewis Ginter Botanical garden. We got there early to be able to catch a little of the fading light of the day. A few random cloud formations helped to create a dramatic sky background. The weather was very pleasant. Actually, the weather was (and remains!) almost too pleasant for my taste. It's weird being here, with all the leaves gone and the Christmas lights up...and the temps are in the seventies. Will we have a real winter this year? Of course winter doesn't even actually start for another week any way. All that being said, the lights at the botanical garden were lovely and it made for a nice way to visit with a friend that evening.
