It's been a quiet Sunday. After my volunteer stint yesterday, and being all social, I'm actually really satisfied to be quiet at home. It was a pleasure to find lovely light coming in the windows this morning and I took advantage of that for these daily photos. Avery and I had a good walk a bit later on. This afternoon I went to the Visual Arts Center to do my darkroom monitor gig. As I suspected, however, things aren't as yet together for that job. It was okay, though, because I had come prepared with busy work and just stayed in place (even though no one was coming in to work), sorting and marking up a few years worth of negatives. For whatever reason, I had the darnedest time getting myself to focus on this task at home. Making myself stay in a place where there was nothing else pressing to do, helped me get the job done. I suspect that the volunteer coordinator will get together with us this week and hash out the details of our routines.
There's an after party of sorts, for the volunteers from the architecture event yesterday, this evening at a local restaurant. Apparently we can each get two drink tickets. The place looks good, but I just want to stay home. I deliberate as to how much wanting to stay home is my default introvert stance, or if staying home will simply offer more benefits overall. I'm thinking I'll opt for staying home.
