Every time (numerous) I've gone out, I have had to stand under or near a fan upon coming back in. When I returned from my 3 mile walk this morning (which I thought was early enough to not get overheated) I stood over the AC vent for about five minutes, to feel normal again.
It's sticky out there. The air is heavy and still. There are storms gathering. I hear rumbles of thunder as I sit here and type.
I could have fallen asleep this afternoon. I'd been on a long walk, Avery's walk, a dog walk gig walk, to the grocery store and Office Depot. Every time alternating between steamy heat and refrigerated cold...it's weirdly taxing. But sleep is an area of improvement right now and I'm afraid napping may set me up for a restless night. So, instead of sleeping I went out into the garden and harvested poppy seed heads. It's a little thing, but needed doing.
Now I'm back in the cool-ish house. Just now, a violent crack of thunder overhead and the sky opening to rain.
