The snow from a couple days ago never melted much. Today, we've been having freezing rain on top of that. A lot of melting and refreezing going on. The tree branches and power lines have coatings of ice on them...so...exciting (not!).
I've had the wood stove going all day and brought in more wood to dry out next to it. The thermostat is set higher as well. My intent is to create some thermal mass in case the power goes out.
It's so weird...I can feel my anxiety creeping up when faced with a situation that's different for me. While it's uncomfortable, it's not overwhelming (not at the moment...fingers crossed that remains the case). Times like these I think I need to live more communally!
