after the rain

It's been a good three weeks, maybe more, since we last had a measurable rain.  In the mean time there have been some very hot days.  It's been dry (by east coast standards).  But it finally came, the rain, thankfully without any intensity (a little blustery but nothing the plants couldn't handle).  The garden feels full and lush now.

And here I go with an inordinate number of images of the garden, using my inordinate love of a wide open 50mm lens and stacked close up filters...
