It's been a gorgeous day. After two gray, very cool, rainy days, the sun has once again appeared. The temperature is about as nice as it can be, hovering somewhere in the mid 70s.
I had Zoom writing practice this morning. The laundry has been done. Avery has been walked. The garden has be lightly tended...weeding and thinning and trimming. I'm tickled as can be for the first bread seed poppy (papaver somniferum) to bloom (top picture here...but worry not, there will be more in color soon!).
This evening should be perfect to finally light the firepit that I had prepped over a week ago and never used (keeping it covered through the rain). I have leftovers from a dinner I made for friends yesterday (which was so very wonderful to be able to do again). I have no complaints (or none that I feel it worth to express!).
