Morning after the storm. The garden is so green. There are a couple tree limbs down as well as one large sunflower plant (from which the flowers have now been harvested and are placed on the dining room table). We sit, Avery and I, in the cool, less humid indoors contemplating the day.
Me, I contemplate family and community. I think a bit about loss, but remember I'll see everyone soon. I try to keep my spirits up and my mind from spiraling in not so useful ways. I think a little bit about the ancestors I never knew and what from them lives on within me.
