On a day like today...mild temperature, low humidity, sun and puffy clouds...being out in the garden is the best therapy. I feel connected to the earth and plants, I'm thinking creatively, I'm getting some exercise and sunshine. It helps release much needed endorphins into my system, which in turn promotes positive thoughts and feelings.
I trimmed back a bunch of the black eyed susans that were flopping all over the place. There were far too many to go through to pick out the best ones to bring inside. But instead of just putting them all on the compost pile, I filled a utility bucket with water and put all the cut stalks into it, placing the whole thing on the front porch. I mean, why not?
This is not a stellar blog post...neither the words nor the photos. It's more just a note saying, "I am here. This is today."
