The garden is always going through transitions. Right now, poppy plants are coming out, their pods drying to shake out seeds, borage plants are looking pretty bedraggled and tired, but the native yellow coneflower and bee balm are at their peak. In addition, the red bee balm I planted this year is finally blooming...it's stunning. While I was away the deer had a feast at one point. I'm figuring out whether I want to replant some stuff or just bulk up the what's left. The lettuce needs to be pulled and composted, with some extra soil added to top up the bed...maybe I'll put in pole beans there. The tasks never end, it's not like that...like with life and working on myself, ya know?
