The garden this year isn't perfect. There are pests, there are weather issues, there's always a sun/shade issue, the soil isn't yet optimal. But all that being said, I know it's as it should be. And what it is, is teeming with life...and I love that! It's such a delight and a privilege to walk out among the plants every morning and see how everyone's doing. To feel the buzz of the pollinators is energizing. The birds flit away as soon as I come close (except for the hummingbird who is oddly comfortable with my presence) but it's super nice to know that the home grown bird feeders (aka, sunflowers et al) are doing their job. The space may look a little ragged, but yeah, it's exactly as it should be.
