This morning I'm moving around the hose a bit, watering where the soil needs it most. The sun has reached the point where it's time to stop and wait for shadows to return before continuing. I started dead heading some of the monarda, hoping for more blooms. I want to dead head the prairie coneflower as it's completely flopping over, but the goldfinches are still feeding and that's more important than aesthetics.
I'm almost done with another roll of monochrome film in the Holga, so perhaps I'll be processing that later. Sensitizing more paper for cyanotypes would be another good thing to do today.
The summer is passing quickly. Well, time passes quicker and quicker as I age...I'm sure you know what I mean. There's a family wedding at the end of August...and then it's September.
Always seeking depth, connection, richness. If there's a bucket list, so to speak, I don't have anything out of the ordinary on it. There are things that would be fun and creatively enriching (travel...maybe? a new kitchen? a bona fide studio?), but if I expired today I don't think I would feel badly I didn't get those. Closeness, intimacy, community...that's my bucket list.
