The grand total of poppy seeds harvested this year is just shy of 2 cups. That's a record breaker for me. Other years I'd gotten barely a cup and closer to half a cup. So what this means is...I can actually make some poppy seed filling with home grown seeds! I'm thinking I may make a cake for Lughnasadh, coming up on August 1st...that would be fitting.
