I really need to change out this altar cloth. It's a pinecone print and better meshes with the winter season. It's covered with ash on one corner from incense. I've been meaning to make a trip to the fabric store for some time. In addition to altar cloths I've been wanting to get fabric for new table cloths and maybe more plain white cotton for cyanotypes. Will today be the day?
This seed starting rack has turned out to be a wise purchase. Not that I didn't think it would be. It's cool, however, to see how much heartier the seedlings are when they have enough light at the right distance and plenty of room. What a delight to watch a seed grow into a plant and then (hopefully) the plant to produce fruit. A miracle of a sort, really.
This completes a week of reworking my schedule. Every morning I've been up between 6 and 6:45, showered, dressed, stretched and meditated. After which I have tea, do Wordle, write and move into my day. Only one day did I forget to write. Not gonna lie, the adjustment still hasn't fully engaged. I still hurt when I stretch (although definitely more flexible). I still don't really want to get out of bed at that hour. But the birdsong is a plus, as well as seeing the sun rise. As we move into the summer it'll be interesting to see how this changes. I anticipate getting up even earlier just naturally. For now, I'm trying to use my discipline!
