a little bit of purple

A few purple (mostly) blooms in the garden...sage, viola and comfrey blossoms.

It's hot today...the temperature about ten degrees higher than average.  It happens, I know.  Still...it's too early!  That being said, the garden doesn't seem to mind (other than the plants being slightly droopy mid-day).

New things blooming in the garden...chamomile, day lily, valerian and a new bearded iris.  Granted, this iris had started blooming last week, but I'm just catching up.

I shot off one roll of film in the Zero (Kentmere100).  I'm just posting them all...even the crap ones...because, it's all kinda magic anyway!

 

 

mugwort

I harvested a good handful of mugwort today.  It's growing rapidly and I want to contain it just a bit to have it grow bushier.  This is the first year I've noticed a stronger scent.  Not sure why that is, but I love it.  I like making an infused topical oil with this herb.  I think I still have plenty of tincture.

Last day of spring 'RoidWeek.  It's been fun seeing everyone pop up for it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ancestors in me

As my trip to Poland comes closer, I'm thinking more about those who came before me...especially the mothers.  It'll be really interesting to be on the soil of their birth.  Perhaps I'll get back to this series again, once I return with many more images.

 

 

 

full moon in Scorpio

I hadn't been paying attention.  This morning found me dragging myself around.  It wasn't just my body, but all sorts of stuff swirling in my mind.  Not thinking stuff...feeling stuff.  At the same time, none of it was really accessible to "figure out".  Then I saw last night was full moon in Scorpio...and I have my moon in Scorpio.  Could there be a connection??  Maybe...maybe not...but it allowed me to be more accepting of my head space!  Whatever works, ya know?

 

 

 

'RoidWeek day three

It's a quintessentially perfect spring day.  Sunny, warm but not hot, nice breeze.  Perfect for getting some weeding done in the garden.

It's 'RoidWeek day two.  I've got a whole lotta stuff in my brain this morning.  The big (for me) Poland trip is less than a month away...yikes!  

 

 

 

Spring 'RoidWeek 2024

The first day of 'RoidWeek 2024 for spring has dawned cold and rainy.  Quite a difference to just a few days ago!  Of course, I'm not ready for it to be consistently in the upper 80's just yet.  So we're staying cozy inside this Sunday.

Finally cleaned up the screened porch.  It's that time of year!
